So what is a Rick Role?
One of the biggest fad’s on the internet recently has been the practice of “Rick Rolling” your friends, family and co-workers. Basically you send a link to your victim claiming it is the best vid, pic or whatever (make sure it is something that said friend, family member or co-worker will be tempted to click) when they click the link it sends them to a video or audio file of “Never gonna give you up” performed by Rick Astley (yes that icon of the 80′s).
Okay it is not what you might call sophisticated, but it has a certain charm and being the age I am my friends appreciate the oh so terrible blast from the past. Youtube even replaced all their featured video links to point towards Rick’s famous hit on April Fools day, possibly destroying the Rick Roll with overkill. Anyway alive or dead the Rick Roll is just one of those things that pops up from time to time that spreads like a virus but brings a smile instead of a frown.
